The European Maritime Day 2023 (24th-25th May 2023) organized by the European Commission will be hosted by Brest Métropole this year.
It’s a great opportunity to promote the local expertise of maritime cybersecurity among European maritime leaders. On Tuesday, 23rd of May (13h30-19h30 local time), the « Brest Maritime Cyber Tour » will allow you to visit the maritime cybersecurity infrastructures, apprehend the operational and technical platforms in motion and identify the possible synergies at the European level.
4 great different visits are planned
- École navale and the Chaire de cyberdéfense des systèmes navals: you will learn more about research activities and education in maritime cybersecurity, including an in-depth visit of the Naval Cyber Range!
- M-CERT, the Maritime Computer Emergency Response Team, operated by France Cyber Maritime: a great occasion to talk about the maritime cyber threat and the daily activities of this operational center. It will also be the occasion to discover the cybersecurity unit of the Gendarmerie maritime called « CYBERGENDMAR« .
- MICA Center: the Maritime Information, Cooperation and Awareness Center is the French center of expertise dedicated to maritime #security: you will understand the role it plays in maritime cybersecurity for #shipowners.
- DIATEAM: visit this SME and its hybrid digital twins platforms dedicated to maritime and port cybersecurity!
How to go there ?
By foot it takes 15 minutes to go the the « Le Grand large » building so that you can take the boat to the Ecole navale (Naval academy). Meeting is at 1.20pm.
When back from the Ecole navale, you can go by foot to the Castle (MICA Center visit).
When the visit of the Castle is over, you can take the tram to go to Diateam.
